We are in the thick of calving. We usually have around 300-350 calves a year. Here is a picture of a cutie we had this week.

9 lambs out of 5 ewes is very good. I wish cattle would do that. We did have 5 sets of twins and saved them all but one.

We haven't started calving yet. We should start around the 1st of April. I love it when I see the first one. Spring is officially here when that cute little nose pops out! We will be done by May....then will start on lambing. Love this time of year!

Women are angels. When someone breaks our wings, we just jump on our broomsticks and fly! We are flexible that way!

Deborah, I live in NW Ks. Many farmers have big herds here. Can't make it farming unless you have a lot of land and a lot of cattle in this area. We are down to the last 30 or so to calve. It has been a exceptionally mild winter and easy calving. So grateful......Thank you Lord!!!!!

Oh! What a cutie! You end up with a lot of calves! Good luck.
