We are in the thick of calving. We usually have around 300-350 calves a year. Here is a picture of a cutie we had this week.

Deborah, I live in NW Ks. Many farmers have big herds here. Can't make it farming unless you have a lot of land and a lot of cattle in this area. We are down to the last 30 or so to calve. It has been a exceptionally mild winter and easy calving. So grateful......Thank you Lord!!!!!

We haven't started calving yet. We should start around the 1st of April. I love it when I see the first one. Spring is officially here when that cute little nose pops out! We will be done by May....then will start on lambing. Love this time of year!

9 lambs out of 5 ewes is very good. I wish cattle would do that. We did have 5 sets of twins and saved them all but one.
