I am wondering just how many Bras does a farmgirl need? I was just putting some laundry away and in my panties & bra draw I counted 5 .. 3 fairly new ones and two ratty old ones which I just tossed in the the junk bag.. I wonder what good are these? I think 3 is sufficient!

I think off all those young gals getting boob jobs for graduation presents. I wonder how many regret that decision after having a baby or two.

ay there.

I have laughed so hard at all these posts. I am and have always been busty. As a teenager riding horses was quite painful as was running, etc. I have been thru all sorts of bras and all sorts of gimmicks. I have finally found a bra that hold and is adjustable and its even comfortable. Its made by a woman!! Its called SHEFIT and I can now ride and run without getting a black eye!

Oh My Stars!! this whole topic is a Hoot! started back in 2008...

I am laughing because B.C. (before child) I was a average sized tata gall.. then somewhere along the way,, the tatas grew into betty big boobs..
I would give anything to be able to go bra-less.. but,, hanging down to the waist and flopping when a walk fast,, well,,, let's just say,, not a pretty sight! lolol!

I hear ya Judith! That's what I buy too. Except sometimes they don't have the kind I like, unpadded so I get them from Amazon.

I wore Playtex 24 hour bras for years. Now I just get cheap Walmart bras. They work just as well. $26 versus $6. I just can't justify spending so much on so little fabric.

I have the regular everyday bra that I wear( full coverage underwire) and a drawer that is my bra museum; the bras that I wish I could wear(small and frilly) and my old worn out favorites that I hate to throw away. I remember the days when I could go bralesss and no one would notice! My problem is I like food and I'm middleaged. I really don't understand the need for breast augmentation especially for younger people. Just give it a few years and a few pounds!!!

This topic has gotten funnier and funnier.
Nope, most times don't wear a bra, not because I like sagging but because I get migraines wearing a bra, and trust me I have tried so many it isn't funny. So I have my one expensive bra that I wear when going "out". Otherwise it is me in all my glory!!!!!! LOL

Um...even BEFORE I got pregnant I couldn't have gone braless...Ouch! When I'm normal sized, I have 5 bras, but really only wear 2. The most comfortable, and the most basic--currently I'm much bigger than usual (about 3 cups up!) and I have one. I still have till February, so hopefully I won't get any bigger--DD is sufficient!!!

LOL!!! This sure IS a fun thread, double LOL!!

I am very small endowed, wear the smallest size available and often those are too big even, duh.

I have a few nice frilly pairs, that are underwired and have a full cup. If I wear the other kind I would be F L A T !! SO better for me to wear the fitted, underwire things. It is not my fave thing to wear, but like I said, if I don't wear it (in the summer I don't when I am in the garden, lol) I would be as flat as 2 peas on a wood board :D :D

I like going braless myself. But it's amazing how different my profile looks when I'm wearing one. I have 5 of these lacy frilly things that have these jell pad thingies on the shoulder so the strap doesn't dig into me. They all have underwires in them too. Don't like to venture out during a lightning storm cuz my bra size has gone from a 32B in high school to a 42C, 16 years after the birth of my last child.....THANKS KIDS! I'm to the age now, if I don't wear a bra I end up catching my boobs in my belt when I fasten my pants...

Can we vote this the weirdest topic?

I never wore a bra in my life until 2 years ago when I found one I liked and looked good in. I'm quite small anyway. Now I have 6 bras, one is a hand-me-up from my daughter. One is a halter bra. And the other 4 are the ones that fit really well but were not being made anymore so I bought them to last. But I haven't worn a bra for the last month and that's the first time in 2 years I haven't worn one for more than a day or so break.

The best breasts I ever had were when I was nursing my babies. I actually had cleavage!

LindaEllen,
I had to read your comment to my husband. (found on first page) That is funny. But I have to agree. At 10 years old, I didn't want to touch my mother undies either. finding them in a bush is just so funny.
But my problem with bras are the straps. I have to shorten the straps. I fold them in the back and sew them. If they didnt hang so low I would go braless.

I went to Lane Bryant this summer when I was visiting my sister. I bought one of the molded bras thinking that they would not show anything I do not want shown. Well, they did accomplish that, as well as making me look like I had football shoulder pads under my shirt- worn the wrong way. I just stood in the bathroom laughing my head off at the sight. Yes, it went back.

Oh goodness...do I remember that conversation the other morning! I always get my bras through Lane Bryant (the store) because they last longer than any others. They usually have their "Buy 2 get 2 free" offer and when they go on sale, they go down quite a bit. Also, sign up for their email or mailing list and you'll get the "$25 off $50 or more, etc" coupons and save even more $$ on slingshots. :)

Here is a tip...a lingerie bag to do laundry does work. That way the hooks and such don't get tangled up in say, your towels.

I agree with the expensive bras for the larger chested gals...I spend A LOT on bras each year, but they last more than a year, unlike the cheaper, unstructered ones that only last a few months. Also, using a bag in the wash helps them last longer.
