We have had some pretty crazy storms these last couple of days. One was so intense that the thunder shook our house and the lightning caused us to lose power. But I was able to catch some pretty neat lightning pictures I wanted to share!

WOW Krista! Those photos are awesome and beautiful. Down here in the swamp we have been having our share of lightening and mean storms. It has been quite the summer with high temps, humidity, and the cross winds across the state from the Gulf and Atlantic Ocean. We too have been having some humdinger pop up storms.

Nice pictures, I have only seen lightening go straight across in the sky once in my life.

Great pictures Krista. Thunder and lightening storms aren't very common here but last year we had rolling thunder and lightening across the sky one night. My daughter and I stood outside in the rain taking pictures.

Right now the lightning storms can be scary because our ground is so dry. Luckily this one never caused any fires, but I do love watching the lightning and having storms.

I'm blessed to live where there is normally plenty of rainfall. We don't usually have lightning without rain, instead we have to be ready for tornadoes with the lightning. It's quite amazing to me how different other parts of the US are!

I agree Heather. I wouldn't even know how to prepare for a tornado. It seems so scary. You are brave to live where you do!
