I’m always ready for a new hobby, aren’t you?
I’ve been following a couple of new FB groups: junk journaling and assemblage art. Are there such groups here? I might be missing them. I need inspiration.

We don't have groups here per say but I know there are many of us who do create junk journals so if you have questions just ask them here and I'm sure others will also jump on this thread.

Hello Lynn. There was a swap for Junk Journals. I joined it a while ago where we created a junk journal and swapped with a partner. That was my first ever junk journal. Recently, there was a swap with junk journal supplies. I didn't join that one and can't remember the name but it will show on the current page if you go to swaps. You might find some ideas in one of these swaps. This past weekend my friend hosted a junk journal/papercraft weekend. They had a conference room at a local hotel and rooms reserved. I didn't stay overnight since it was 15 minutes from my house. There was a table where we could leave supplies we don't want and we could take what we might use. I got rid of some stamps I will never use or had duplicates of, some stickers and other paper items. I took home some nice papers and other things. We mostly just worked on our own projects, talked a lot, shared ideas, ate some food (haha) and then they had some challenges. I won the tag one! I think because the weekend had a bee theme :) They provided the tag and we had 30 minutes to do whatever we wanted. We also did an altered playing card. They provided the card and we could do anything with it in 30 minutes. I have never done an altered playing card before and only did one or 2 tags so it was fun to do and see what others had done. I would love to see some ideas too and I think this Stitching & Crafting area is currently the best place for it. Let's see if we can talk Mary Jane into a papercraft badge!!
