Hello to my dear friends & sisters,
I just wanted to let you all know that my husband & I are making the move back to Australia next month. It is somewhat bitter-sweet. Of course, I am excited to be back closer to my family & friends at home, and my husband has an exciting new work opportunity. It will be with great sadness, however, that I will be saying goodbye to my dear friend & fellow farmgirl sister, April. When I first settled in Central Oregon, April was so welcoming & I felt like we immediately became friends due to our Farmgirl connection. April has been a blessing in so many ways & made my transition to moving back to the US that much easier. I will miss our coffee dates, lavender farm picnics, antique/thrift shopping, and most of all, our chats about life in general. We also had an incredible opportunity to meet fellow farmgirls Karen & Debbie in-person at the Farmgirl Meet & Greet in Sisters, OR, in August. Farmgirls are a special breed & having the opportunity to meet in person takes those relationships to another level. Now, just because I will be living on the other side of the world doesn't mean I won't continue to be part of the farmgirl network. I may not be able to participate in quite as many swaps (mainly due to the cost/time of international post), but I will continue to write letters to my special farmgirl penpals (you know who you are) and I will continue to be an active part of the chatroom.

I hope you have a wonderful journey back home. So glad you will continue to be part of the Farmgirl sisterhood.
A day hemmed in prayer is less likely to unravel.

I am definately smiling because it happened, with all my heart and soul. I'm so grateful to Mary Jane for bringing us together when we were oceans apart. So grateful that we landed down the road from each other, when this world is so grand in size. Some may say it was some crazy lucky odds, however, my heart believes it was always charted in the stars that we were destined to cross paths in life. So thankful for the "time" we were gifted. I will miss you BIG. And, yes, I am still crying... hearts connected always.

Oh Cindy have a very special move and safe one!
This farm has always been special to me too! Especially through all I have been through! They are very special, and are with you no matter where you live or move too!

To my dear Farmgirl Friends,
I wanted to thank you all for your thoughtful sentiments & prayers as my husband & I travelled home to Australia. We arrived safely almost 2 weeks ago & have been staying at my parents farm where I grew up. It was the end of the wheat harvest when we landed, so we were helping with odd jobs around the farm. We are heading into summer here, & arrived to a heatwave throughout Queensland. We are getting incredible afternoon storms & rain showers which make for humid days to follow.
As we get settled into our own place, I will be sure to let you know my forwarding address. I will update Chapter leaders accordingly.
Thanks again to those who have been keeping in touch. I will always value our friendships & we can still be farmgirl sisters from afar!!

Cindy, I am happy to hear that you and hubby arrived safely and are not settling into a new home. After a hot summer here, maybe this heat dome is not a sign of another hot summer for you.
