Recently I started to do watercolour painting. I am still in the learning process but loving it.

One concern is drying my brushes after a session. Brushes should dry inverted so water doesn't accumulate in the ferrule (the metal thingy that holds the bristles). I came up with an idea using one of my other hobbies. I know I could've bought a fancy rack but I like this idea as it doesn't take desk space.

I crochet two rectangles. I used cotton yarn and an H hook for tighter stitches and a J hook for bigger stitches. Some of my brushes are thinner and some are thicker. I used matching shawl pins to hold them in place and to make it easier to take off the curtain rod when I want to wash them.

Displayed are a few pieces I have painted.
