It was sort of gloomy and cold today and I was craving Soul Food… for me that is German food.. So tonight I made a quickie version of Goulash with Knödel and asparagus..
The dishes are washed and put away and now to relax with my book and a lovely glass of wine.

Your food looks delicious! I would love to try some of your German food. My mom's goulash didn't look like that lol! And I have honestly never made it since I have been married.

Grace, German food is the best comfort food, it’s true! When it is chilly outside I like to make my family’s sauerbraten recipe (Mom’s side of the family) along with a batch of spaetzle (from Dad’s side!). That looks really tasty!
