Sometimes you just need something a little sweet and can't wait for a festival to pay for a bag of kettle corn. If you have a Whirly-pop popper, you can make it anytime you like.
1/2 c. popcorn 2 Tbsp. Oil 3 Tbsp. Sugar Scant 1 tsp. Salt
Put all in the Whirley-pop over medium high heat, cranking the handle. When the popping ends, take off heat and pour the popcorn into a large bowl. Immediately put the popper in the sink and run water into it to melt the sugar. Enjoy when the popcorn has cooled. I also add a healthy shake of cinnamon with the sugar
Vanessa, my kids would love making popcorn that way. We don't have one, so now I need to get one. But I love your idea of adding cinnamon. I am going to try that next time we eat popcorn.
