Happy Spring and Persian New Year to everyone! My husband is originally from Tehran and the spring equinox is their official New Year. My husband made our traditional meal on Sunday and we have saved leftovers for tonight's dinner. Here in the Chicago area we have been flipping between winter and summer, today however will feel like spring for us. My daffodils are blooming and giving us a much needed dose of color outside.
Hope everyone has a beautiful spring and a wonderful New Year! Sahar (My name Dawn in Farsi) in IL

Happy Spring and Persian New Year to you Dawn and all my Farmgirl sisters. My daffodils have come and gone but the container of yellow pansies is still blooming, they're the only spot of color on my deck for now.

Thank you Sara and Debbie. The Nowruz celebration is actually 14 days long and ends on the equinox. We have lots of phone calls to make to California tonight where most of my husband's family lives.
