I love my afternoon tea, black, green or herbal… normally I use a bit of organic honey to sweeten my tea. But sometimes, the little girl in me, likes to use a sugar cube. I always keep a small box of sugar cubes in the pantry for when my grandkids come over, and we have tea together. They absolutely love using sugar cubes. Today although it is sunny out, it’s still rather cold and damp so I’m having my tea a little earlier than usual. I was going to drink my green tea without sugar, but then I thought, little Gracie needs to have a sugar cube in her tea. 
So, are there any other sugar cube alcoholics like myself out there?

Grace, I don't use any sugar cubes, I just sprinkle some sugar in. But I love your sugar cube holder and your spoon reminds me of a mint spoon my mom has!

Being diabetic now I don't use sugar in my tea anymore but when I used to make crepe suzettes for Mardi Gras I would dip sugar cubes in rum and light them on top of the crepes. I always had to buy a new box every year as they would magically disappear, no doubt due to my three little gremlins.

Judith, lol! I also have 3 gremlins!! And it’s a special treat to use sugar cubes, thou I do have to keep an eye on them… kids not the cubes! lol!

I think I need to get a box of sugar cubes the next time I go to the store - the little girl in me has never had the fun LOL!

Aww, grace, I love the idea of old fashioned sugar cubes!! I think they look like they always belong to a tea service too. I know that horses love them as well if you offer one to them in the palm of your hand. Everyone has a sweet tooth, I think! LOLL!!! Your vintage silver sugar spoon goes perfect with your pretty sugar bowl. The Brits would agree that sterling silver is a must with a proper tea service!! LOL!!!
