Not her in person...but her new line of great paper and scrapbooking products. I was in heaven for about 30 minutes (or more) taking it all in. Such a fun line of things. Lots of labels, stickers, papers, photoalbums and much more.
I bought a set of two bird stamps for $9.99.
I thought the prices were very fair.
One drawback was that you CANNOT use your 40% off coupon on Martha products...poor Martha I know she just can't afford to let anyone get a bargain! Sorry if this sounds katty, but come on. The way my brain works is that if I can get a bargain on one of the bigger items I will pay full price for the smaller items...and buy more! As it was I only bought one thing from her line.
I did not use my coupon because the black album I went in there for- they were out of...probably because I bought all they had last week. I am changing out my scrapbook covers to all black. They look so much more classic on my new books shelves than the mismatched ones did.
They said the delivery truck comes on Mondays and Thursdays and they had not unpacked at 5:00 PM when I was there. So I'll go back another day and use the coupon and probably get the other set of bird stamps in the Martha line (there were 2 sets).
Anyone else seen the Martha line? They had another rack set up with the Martha Stewart sign on it, but it was empty...so I do not know what is going on it...can't wait to see it though.
I guess Martha had plenty of time to sit and think of what else she could sell while she was in the clinker...and that she did. This line of products will sell well, in my opinion.
Oh other companies had new stuff too, if you will notice they had done some revamping (they were doing this while I was in there last week)...and I wondered what they were up to. Now I know. New products!
So fun...if you love this kinda stuff you have to check it out!
Let us know what you think. I will post a pic on my blog of the birdie stamps I bought.

I think those bird stamps are from an issue a few years ago when they embroidered those birds on white quilt blocks. I did several on different bags and towels, etc and sent them to all my friends in Australia. I love those birds. She has all 50 state birds in that issue. Cannot remember what month/year, but that was a good one, glad to see she put them in stamps, how fun.

Yeah, I think you are right. I have that issue too...in the Martha Stewart box of magazines. I love birdies.

Oh, I had been in a month ago and got some free craft project papers using the Martha Stewart Line. I can't wait to check it out next time I get out to the big city area. I need pratty packaging ideas for the bake Sale our church is having with our Quilt Show in May.

With all those Michael's coupons, I can't get myself to buy anything at full price there. That's dumb that you cant buy the Martha line with a coupon! I agree with you!

yes, i too was there today and the whole aisle is set up but no merchandise. i think it will all be cool, but too expensive and i think martha has really lost touch with those of us crafters who do not own 12 mansions and every accessory possible and those who aren't able to invest thousands and thousands of dollars in every interest. Maybe I am grouchy and tired tonight, but I think that i am not so off the mark, but still aloyal mag reader.

I was at Michaels yesterday and now I know why the scrapbooking aisle was torn apart with shelves all over the floor. I'll have to go back next week and check it out.

So is anyone besides me torn by the fact that they love paper crafting and stickers and everything else scrapbooky, but hate the fact that they have to cut down more trees to get the paper that we are so addicted to? It is such a conundrum......sadly, tho, I am addicted!

It is sad to cut down trees for paper...but I think if we were all more careful with the waste that goes on then the trees that get cut are at least for a good purpose. The purpose of scrapbooking is a good one, I think. After all saving our families story is one of the best things I can think of to do. I think God does not mind if we are using the trees for a good purpose.
So recycle and maybe the paper we use in our scrapbooks will someday come back to us from something we have recycled!
Does that make since?
