Hi Marlene,
One of my favorite authors is M.C.Beaton
Her mysteries are based in Scotland, with Hamish MacBeth,
(Also on public TV). Agatha Rasin mysteries! lots of adventures and mysteries but not violent and she writes about Scotland Highlands too.
I just enjoy good mysteries.
