Judith -

I enjoyed seeing one of your UFOs on the floor where you were trying to figure out the setting of the blocks when Ed and I visited you last week. I lay blocks out on the floor sometmes, too.

My guild did the 12 months of UFOs last year and this year, too. I'm not sure how your guild is doing it, but for my guild we had to put the 12 UFOs in a list numbered 1-12. Each month the organizer would roll a 12-sided die and we were to finish or at least show progress on that numbered UFO. I completed all 12 last year. Unfortunately, I have missed all meetings except for January this year due to our travels and have not completed any of my UFOs. I do hope to get a few done before the end of the year.

Linda -- It is starting to come together. I spent all day Saturday trying to wrap my head around it and got 5 sections put together. 5 to go.

My guild is doing the UFO challenge almost the same as yours except they will draw a number each month. It will be interesting; some of the things I listed I have absolutely no idea what to do with them.

Grace -- unfortunately, or maybe fortunately, I don't drink so this project requires many words of power. I hope the walls are soundproof. The good part is that it is giving me ideas of ways to use up the bin of orphan blocks I have accumulated over the years.
Great work on the towels and I have always loved wool pennies. Yours look so much better than the ones I attempted.

That looks great, Judith. That is quite a puzzle.

I also had the same problem with UFOs - some were puzzles, too, but not quite as involved as you. LOL!

Judith, I love that quilt top with all the bright colors and patterns. It will be stunning when completed!

Grace, I love your penny rug that you made with such warm and cozy colors! Also , adding crocheted tops to kitchen towels is such a cute addition idea because it just adds some pizazz to the towel!

Very pretty Vanessa; your sister-in-law is a lucky girl. Yes, those scraps sure do multiply but scraps quilts are fun to make.

Time for me to pick it up with working on my UFOs. . .it's too hot during the day to do much else! Maybe I can bust out a few this next week! trying to get most of them done by the end of the year. Unfortunately, there are quite a few. I have been finding more of them as I clean through my house. They seem to be multiplying as I write this!

I have taken Lowell's winter coat apart, washed the pieces and am currently ironing the pieces.

When your power goes out for 2 hours and it’s 97’ degrees outside… you have a good excuse to sit, sew and have a glass of wine…
I finally finished up this Scotty dog towel. (& my glass of wine. ;>)
