We normally open our gates around 10 or 1030 by the driveway. Our mail man usually comes around 11. However, today he came early! So when hubby went out to open the gates, he spotted a blue box. Needless to say upon opening the box, my heart was filled with joy, nay, overflowing with joy! Thank you so very much, dear Krista, for the beautiful crochet, flamingo, banner, and Gnome.
I am speechless, which, considering for me, is quite impressive because normally I’m a Gabby Gertie!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for my beautiful banner, which will go out to my flamingo trailer, but not for about a month because I want to enjoy it here in my house. Ha ha. Oh, who am I kidding, the flamingo banner may stay in the house all winter long, reminding me of future fun Trailer, mischief. The gnome is now sitting with his friends, absolutely adore him. You are so talented! Trust me if I lived in your neighborhood, you’d have to beat me off with a stick to get rid of me, because I would be at your house every day, bugging you to teach me how to crochet, But in trade, I would make you lots and lots and lots of yo-yos! Ha ha

Oh my goodness Grace! That made it to you so fast! They told me it would be there Wednesday. I am so happy it arrived and that you love it. They were both so fun to make. Plus I would love to have you as a neighbor! You could come over whenever you wanted. I will teach you to crochet and you can teach me to sew. It would be a fun win win!

I’d love to know where you got the gnome pattern for crochet. He is so cute. Your crochet is so perfect. Wonderful gift.
The banner is great too, perfect for Grace’s trailer.

I still can’t believe she made both for me!! I puttered into my office this morning, coffee mug in one hand and a couple of fresh plums in the other… I stopped at the door where my flamingo banner is hanging and just smiled!!

Oh and Krista,, the red 'shell' UFO,,, I started that so many years ago, and somewhere along the way I miss placed the pattern,,, so the crochet hook is with it,, maybe you can figure it out or just undo and reuse the yarn.. LOL!

I had actually crochet 4,,, yes 4 Afghans twin sized in this pattern.. about a dozen years ago, unfortunately in our last move from Calif., back to Spokane, I packed everything away.. and misplaced that instruction/pattern.. I think this one (red) was supposed to be a Teddy bear Afghan for my granddaughter's Teddy bear.. but alas, I just can't remember the stitches..
You would think after making 4 of them, I would have it committed to memory, but, Nope!
I am a visual learner,, so trying to read instructions is the equivalent of Dyslexia for me... an elderly lady taught me how to make that design, and as long as I worked on it several times a week I was ok,, but putting it away... for years,, totally forgot...
Oh Well! like I said, if I am in your neighborhood,, we'll do tea, scones and crocheting :>)

Thank you, Krista, for the link for the gnome pattern. I see she has several free gnome patterns. Too many things I'd like to make and so little time. Only thing about the gnomes is the number of different color yarn that is needed. I have quite a bit - need to see what I've got and go from there.
Oh, and regarding Grace shipping off her UFOs - Just beware!!! - no one is excluded from possibly getting something like that from her. I have received a couple of her UFO partial kits. LOL!

Grace, do you by chance know what size the teddy bear blanket would end up being? I can see that it is already 18" wide. So how long should it be? I am able to see what stitches you were doing, so there is a chance I could figure it out.

Oh Krista,, that would be awesome! I seem to recall it was only going to be a few inches longer then it is wide.. so,,, maybe 18x22..
"Ted's" the bear is 14" tall...
Sorry I didn't respond sooner.. we are packing, prepping for our trip back to SO CAL to visit family & friends..
