I'm reading this book, too, along with many many others - always have a stack going. I love Julia Child also! I read one about her last year, but I think this one, BY her is better.
If you guys like books by/about chefs, check out Soul of a Chef. Just finished it and it's pretty good. The Apprentice by Jacque Pepin was awesome too.
I gave "Julia" to my husband for Christmas and then I read it. I enjoyed it very much because she really started with no preconceived notions at all and really wanted to learn this for herself. What an incredible journey the old girl took! And she sure looked like she was having fun along the way. I also thought it was sort of a love story in a way about Julia and Paul's time in France. They seemed like quite a pair and very well suited for each other.
