Well for some of you,, it's been fair weather to get some Glamping time in.. even Nicole aka texdane, in the N.E., ... was able to get her vintage trailer all gussied up and ready for a camp fire!! me and my trailers, not so much... but I think after Mothers Day and the rains have passed, I will be able to go pull my 2 wee playhouses on wheels out of the trailer barn, air them out and stock them up with some unread magazines ,,, and a bottle of wine,, oh, and my kitty of course!

Any body else getting antsy for Glamping season?

aww, memories...

Grace, I love your Glamper! I would love to find one to fix up, but here in the south they are extinct. When I find one , it’s always out mid- west or on the west coast. How fun it must be to just go hang out and read, or craft or sew in such a space. Happy Glamping this summer.

A day hemmed in prayer is less likely to unravel.

Oh Wanda, it really is... I keep a craft bag in each trailer, with a skein of cotton yard and crochet hook as well as pre-cut circlers fabric, needle & thread and a mini
cross stitch kit,, 'sew' I can sew if the mood hits, or catch up on some reading or a DVD...

My hubby just shakes his head when I tell him I am going Glamping on the back property... and I do!

This year I need to get new tires for both trailers and get the bearings greased,,, not to mention sweep out the little dead bug circuses on the floor
and window sills!
Ahh the joys of Spring Trailer cleaning!

Oh I am Grace! I have been antsy for quite some time! Who knows when our mountains will be ready for us, so it looks like I will be staying in my back yard too lol. Have fun digging your trailers out!

So cute!!! We don't have a glamper in that style, but we did buy a travel trailer last year, so it's glamping to me (when compared to a tent...ha). I love traveling in it! We already went to the beach so far this year (and did 4 days of beachcombing...my favorite!). Just prior to that, we took it to stay close to a friend who lost her mom. While the occasion was sad, I was so glad to see her again! It had been six years.

Next up will be heading to stay at a KOA across the street from a concert venue. Man, I love the convenience of having our trailer! Happy trails!

Gracie, I repurposed a light fixture into a solar chandelier similar to yours for our glamper trailer. I still have it and hope to use it in my yard sometime soon. The wind needs to stop blowing like a fury so it doesn't blow away.

LUV "Soloarliers" ... buy a cheesy cheap brassy light fixture, leave as is or primer & paint it... first remove e all wiring... paint and glue in the solar lights (from Walmart $1.18 or the dollar store for $1.25

hang in the sun and enjoy...

When we glamping, we hung our "solaralier" in the center of our EZ-Up canopy for evening/night light. During the day we took the tops of the solar lights off and put them in the sun to charge. I might have to figure out a way to hang it here outside where it is secure and wouldn't "wave" in the wind

Gracie, I'm in the process now of using a shepherd's hook. I have it secured in the ground right next to my deck and have the clear part of the solar lights glued to the fixture. I just have to secure the fixture to the hook, but it can't hang loose or the wind will whip it to death.
So, we'll see what today brings in getting that accomplished.

For many years, I wanted an old trailer to fix up. Like having a doll house!! Alas, it never happened but I still love the idea and how those of you with a camper have made them so tricked out and adorable!!

Winnie, I LOVED having the opportunity to fix up my glamper and I was so sad when I watched it leave to go to a new home. I'm grateful that I was able to do that and that my daughter and I did enjoy it . . . for a season. I decided to let it go instead of watching it sit here and deteriorate. That I just couldn't do.
Like my daughter said, everything is for a season and that season is over. It was fun while it lasted!

CJ like you I am a great believer in seasons of life. The trick to having a well lived life is to know when a season is over and to let it go so you can embrace the season you are in. The same thing applies to the people that pass through our lifes. Some people are there for a reason and when that reason is over it's time to let them go. Others are keepers and you hang on to them.

I don't have a glamper but I do like the idea of one. The closest thing I have to a glamper is my Yellow Rose Cottage. I guess I could paint wheels on it and pretend I have one. I do sit on my YRC's porch and watch the world go by.

I finished getting my "solarlier" up and I think it turned out just right. I'll try to get a photo posted soon.

Sara, I agree with your assessment on seasons in our lives. It is hard to let go sometimes but it is also true that life moves on and sometimes you have to let go and be grateful for the fun that you had. When I look back at some of my seasons, I enjoyed being in the middle of it and like grace said, it was a period of growth, learning, and blessings. Life is funny like that isn't it?
