Looking for some ideas about repurposing a pair of antique church pew ends other than a bench--I have two rather large benches already here at home-one Hungarian box bench with original paint in the dining room and a beautiful black Parson's bench up on the landing.

I'm stumped!

I love acquiring architectural pieces and am aching to do a project-winters been tediously long up here in the U.P.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Melody

Oh, Melody, what a treasure! I've been searching for a church pew for a while now. I would love to have one as my entry way bench. One day.

What about using them as a corbel, turning them upside down, perhaps on your front porch or something? Perhaps a head board? I would check pinterest for some ideas, too! Please share what you end up doing with them!

Oh those are beautiful! How about an end table or planter box?

I was thinking an narrow entryway chair-gotta sit and put on my boots but not really sure about that either-- I didn't post another snap of the ends-but there are brass plates on each arm rest portion indicating what the number of the pew is--I have #1 and #2--just a nice little touch.

Thank you for the great ideas-Corbels would be awesome, but I found a giant pair of wooden gray and weathered ones many years ago at a yard sale for $60 and they are positioned in the entry of my kitchen and dining room. Keep those ideas coming!

I saw a fire wood holder on pinterst that was cute, if you have a wood stove. :-)

Melody, I can't wait to see what you come up with. I don't have any ideas for you, but I bet what ever you make is going to look so neat!
