Just got these, so I have no opinion, but they l00k interesting.
That's a picture of My Grandma on the side there.
Went to the grocery store this morning, don't buy anywhere
close to the amount of things I used to. but the good news is
I have all I need.
Made some cookies will probably make a chicken casserole
for dinner, or as we used to call it,"supper".

Its so exciting to get new books, even if they are new used books! I love to stack all my "ready to read" books on my nightstand near my bed, looks messy, but so comforting. We have a little neighborhood library box in our neighborhood, I love to frequent as well as make drop offs. Makes for a win win when I take my pup for a walk. THe Dictionary of lost worlds looks interesting, I'll have to google. :-)
I love the picture of your grandmother, such a beautiful lady. Grandparents are so special.
A fond memory of mine growing up was when my mama called: Supper's ready! Funny thing that I call it dinner now with my own family - I like supper so much better and it's so much more comforting. I wonder what changed that for me? Hmmmm.

I bought the Dictionary of Lost Words for my daughter for Christmas in 2021. She has been busy getting her teaching degree so I don’t think she has read it yet. I thought she would enjoy it…I should borrow it! :)

These new books look interesting! You will have to let us know what your experience with them is. Also, I love your dinner menus that you post. They always sound just like home growing up to me. If I lived closer, I would say, save me a place at the table. Yummy chicken casserole!
