I love this little felt mouse candy cane holder! 2 little pieces of felt, one that is egg shaped and the other piece is a figure eight… 4 little slits, and glue on eyes and cute blanket stitching around the edge and whiskers..

Grace, I love your idea of denim pocket holders for treats. Plus, I have made those mouse holders for candy canes before from my Mom's pattern. They are so cute and easy to make for a group. Anything that holds candy canes is my idea of a perfect little gift. Candy canes are my favorite Christmas candy. I love peppermint all year round!

So cute, Grace. I can't believe your energy, girlfriend! Are you thinking of making things and keeping them on hand for swaps or whatever? Or stockpiling? Or ...?
I have a huge box of denim so am trying to decide what to make from them. I really want to dwindle down my craft project fixins this year. I know there are some things I will never make, though when I bought them I thought I would. LOL!
I also have a HUGE pile of selvedges and fabric scraps - I love string pieced quilts and other projects. Maybe I can come up with some swap ideas for MJG?
I have a quilt top to make for a swap through my quilt quild - won't take long after I cut out the pieces. Then I can start sewing them.
Then all I know is I have a lot of fabric to use up and do something with. As a crafter who likes to sell the things I make, it is so hard to predict and make things that the purchasing public wants.

Glad to know I'm not the only one! I'm already working on next years gifts. Plus, working on birthday stuff also. Have been kicking myself for not being further along on the Hobo quilt, yet am getting other gifts done

I think a lot of us think ahead for Christmas - it sure helps at the end of the year when gifts are done. We can commiserate and encourage each other all year.
I am going to start a list of what is made and for whom, and I need to add to that list the location where the already-made-item is hidden or stored. Otherwise, I may not be able to find it when it is time to wrap and present to the recipient.

Those ornaments are very nice, Marie. I love all the things that are being made with granny square stitches. I have a granny square afghan my mother made and I'm thinking of taking it apart and making a sweater out of it. I've made one of the hexagon sweaters that is basically the same granny afghan stitch and have another half done. They are easy and make up fast.
I also want to make some flannel "snap" scarves - I have fabric I've had for a while and just need to cut them out and sew. According to the online pattern, they are very easy. I've bought the snaps and the tool to put them into the fabric should arrive from Amazon tomorrow.

I think my 'gift' to myself will be one of those "White Boards" that you can write on with erasable marker pens,, then I can write and sketch ideas... I used to have a Binder that I would put clear sheet protectors in and put photos, magazine pages etc . but then I would mis-locate it,, or stack stuff on it.. lol!
Even here, I see so many terrific ideas that I want to steal.. I mean,, borrow heeheehee!

Here's the Snap Scarf Pattern
https://www.deliacreates.com/leather-flannel-snap-scarf-tutorial/
We saw them in a shop on Mackinac Island, Michigan. They wanted $150 and up for them. I tried one on, but thought "I can make this" and didn't want to pay $150 for a rectangle of flannel and some snaps. It is basically just a double layer of flannel with a piece of leather on each end (I'm going to use something slightly different). 5 snaps are added on the leather so you can snap the ends together.
I have 3 piees of plaid flannel I had gotten for other projects and they are perfect for making these scarves. I bought some snaps at Hobby Lobby on sale and just ordered the pliers for the snaps on Amazon on sale. I hope they are as easy as they look.

I have to start thinking about next year, it's the only way I finish in time LOL! Marie that ornament is adorable. I really like the denim pocket pot holder too. My sister gave me a scarf for Christmas. It looks like a bunch of different ribbons & trims. There are 2 knots holding it all together. They are about 5" apart near the center (find the center then tie a knot 2-3" in each direction).

Those ideas for next Christmas are super cute. I have been thinking about my list of unfinished projects and thinking about how I can create a goal to complete them this next year. I thought I was doing great and getting a head start but it looks like I am actually behind since you all are starting with Christmas already LOL! I am going to need to get my act together this year.

Thanks, Linda! The scarves are super cute. I can’t imagine paying that much for one though. :)
Krista, I’m with you! I think I am behind, already! I’ve been very lazy since Christmas. Tomorrow the decor comes down. :)

Karen, I have been considering creating a goal with others to hopefully keep me accountable to get some of my projects finished this year. I am hoping to stay ambitious this coming year. I will take all our decorations down on Sunday. We like to keep them up through New Years Eve.
