Beautiful Dianna! I love the close up of the bumble bee!
Please say a prayer for us here in the Northern CA foothills close to Yosemite. The Oak fire is raging on and creating a smokey sky and ash falling around the neighborhood. You can see the haze in the sky in these 2 photos. It also creates a golden cast to the sun light. :(
They say it's about 10% contained so they are making progress. We had the fire planes flying over the house all day today. An unfortunate common occurrence here in our summer time.

Oh Jenn!! Yes, I know of these dreaded destructive fires out your way! My MIL lives out close to there also and every year, especially these last 4 years seems to be awful!! I'm so sorry and yes, yes, I'm praying hon! Please stay safe and ready to escape on a moments notice but also live as joyfully as you can for its truly beautiful there. Thank you for sharing your pictures and know there are many praying!! Hugs!

Oh Jenn Jenn . . .whatever you have to do, stay safe. If ever you have to leave in a hurry, you know how to get to Idaho. We could sew and craft our cares away and go "spy" on Orofino (inside joke everyone LOL).
Our neighbor has a honkin' big ole' water truck and works the fires every year. I think he is headed down your way as we speak. Sure hope they get that under control soon. I've done a lot of traveling in my day, and Yosemite is my favoritist (my un-word) place in the whole wide world. Let's keep it and you safe.
Big hugs,
jean

Jennifer, prayers for everyone’s safety. Fires are so scary and the smoke makes it so miserable.

Heather, loving the baby pictures like always!

Dianna, great photos.

I’m loving everyone’s pictures!

Jennifer, praying that the fires are under control soon and that you won’t have to evacuate!

A day hemmed in prayer is less likely to unravel.

Wow, first of all, Dianna, I love those gorgeous photos of your little paradise over there in Alabama! Jenn, I add my prayers to the others that the fires will not spread and threaten the homes where you live. So scary!!

Heather, those kitten photos are just adorable as well as your darling calf!

Karen, love those backyard photos of your little paradise complete with raspberries and a sweet pup! You have a lovely yard too!!

What lovely photos you all have posted,,,

Jen, stay safe from the fires. We don’t miss the fires, we lived in Coarsegold, about a 40 minute drive to Yosemite.. we have friends up in Mariposa, and Ahwanee, that we have been checking in on.. and I have a cousin in Sonora… so scary … stay safe.

Here is my world in the past few weeks.

It has been a lovely summer, we have heat coming in this week, but hopefully it will be short lived. We continue to do some haying, playing at area lakes and preparing for harvest and winter. I am canning, freezing or dehydrating something almost every day to keep up with the garden.

A little rain can straighten a flower stem. A little love can change a life.

Umm, I was hoping someone could tell me:-) Where we lived in Colorado we did not have these beautiful flowers.
I believe the little flower by itself is Fuschia. But not sure.
