I wanted to share some goodies I found while my daughter and I were out thrifting and browsing antique stores. The total cost was $13. I’m excited to see where these pieces end up!

This “magazine” from 1882

Some fun pieces, including a telegram and a report card!

Prescriptions from 1925…almost 100 years old! I believe the prices are written in various places on the scripts.

Karen :)

It was a popular magazine published from 1881 to 1930. Lucky find at a thrift shop.

My beautiful chunky junky journal arrived this week from Debbie F. I love the chunkiness and all of the little bits peeking out, and all of the little touches and tucks just for me! I can feel the love and thoughtfulness that went into every page. I will add some more pics so you all can enjoy it as well. Thank you Debbie!!!

Well, we are winding down here. Only a couple more days to go for mailing. I hope you all have had fun creating Junk Journals. The process can be quite addicting. It has been a joy seeing your awesome creations. Barbie sent me this quite good link this morning and I wanted to be sure to share it with you. Enjoy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZajjCDrit7k

The journal I am making will not be finished on time. I have had many distractions and my space always seems to be taken up by something else. I also have been transitioning to a different job. All these excuses seem to be lame and unnecessary to talk about. I will finish it and send it out. I will send some preview pictures before I mail it.

I am so glad y'all have enjoyed this swap It really has been fun, hasn't it? Perhaps we should do another one . . . I'm thinking perhaps a Cabin Fever Reliever Junk Journal come mid January or so when that fever sets in on us. In the meantime, keep watch here as we're really not done yet. Here's a little "bonus" for you to think about -- Get together with a couple of other Farmgirls and do a private Round Robin Junk Journal. Dianna (Suny58), Barbie (rubberfish), and I have done just that and we are having a ball. We each made a JJ to be for ourselves, then we are passing it on to each other for "guest artist pages". Too fun. We'll be posting pictures soon so be sure to stay tuned here.
Thanks everyone for playing . . .
hugs,
jean

Did I forget to mention that I really love creating these journals? I work at a bookstore and have asked the owner to let me have all the unsaleable books. I want to make junk journals to sell at the store. When I get too many to handle, I will offer them for a trade.

I received a most beautiful journal all sweetly wrapped with lots of little extras for my grand girls included. Sherry thank you so much. I will treasure this journal for a very long time. You are so talented and I appreciate all you did to make this for me.
These are just a peek at the beautiful pages Sherry did.

Jennifer - your junk journal went out today. If the USPS comes through you should have it Thursday.

I love seeing everyone's creations - What a talented bunch of ladies we have here!!!

Jean - I think a cabin fever releaver this winter sounds wonderful. I'm too swamped with work to do another right now. January or February should be much better :)

Oh I forgot to post that Sherry also included a tiny little miniature journal. There are pages for writing some flower pages and one of them even has a little pocket. It has a cover that says Wildflowers across it.
Thank you so much Sherry! I'm going to love using this journal!
