This link just came in my Pinterest email this morning. Here are the directions for the little books that Jean made us to use for the Dog Days Journals. Or at least very similar.

I have Marlene's journal done and I decided to use a different notebook for the journal, but will use the one Jean sent for myself. I enjoyed making the journal and am sure I will make another one soon.

Quiltee -- Thanks for that link about the Reverse Piano Hinge Binding. I have been a member of the Handmade Book Club at www.vintagepaperdesigns.com for a while now which is where I learned to do this particular binding. Of the many I have learned over the years, I think this is my all time favorite. It is quick, easy and fun to do. I must say these instructions you sent from a "down under" site are terrific. Very clear and easy to follow. Mine calls for 3" Tyvek strips for the accordion which I didn't have. I tried several different things before deciding to use ribbon which worked quite nicely. I'm not familiar with the product the Aussies used.

Dianna and Barbie -- Thank you sew much for posting photos of your awesome DDJJ's. You are two of the most talented gals I know. And, I adore your two wonderfully different styles -- one a beautifully spiritual nature girl, the other a funky punky retro queen. Farmgirls -- can you guess which is which ?? ROTFLMAO . . .
Much thanks and big hugs,
jean

Jean-

I'm so glad you like the link I found It looks very easy to me. I had figured it out from the one you made and was going to make a small booklet and this link seemed to explain it very well and simply.

I'm enjoying seeing the pages others have done and getting new ideas. I like adding pockets, envelopes, and lots of other ephemera.

I have section two finished. Next up, remaining front and back cover pages, research for section 1 and lots of hard work for section 3. My book will not have much room for journaling or any pockets or stuff like that. It will be very informative.
