I started A tablecloth???? yesterday, its a rather large Dollie right now, I had white thread, but if it makes it to being a tablecloth I think I will tea stain it. I made a bed spread years ago, but being a round thing seems to be harder to control. The bed spread came out nice, but that was more square. I put a picture on on my blog, its folded over once. Nancy,
Last summer I had the same idea. I had a pattern from an old issue of Magic Crochet and I decided to crochet a tablecloth for my round dining room table. When I finshed it, it was too pretty to put on the table, so I folded it in half and I now use it as a lightweight shawl in the summer-comes in handy for those air-conditioned rooms. I've also crocheted a few for ladies who I think need some cheering up-my friends going through chemo. or surgeries. They seem to really like them.
Soooo, if the tablecloth idea doesn't work out, maybe you can use a new shawl? |

Jeanette, Good Idea, if I can't make it lay flat as a tablecloth, I will fold it over for a shawl. NANCY JO

I love your table cloth, I have brought up a lot of anquite beige crochet thread to make a bedspread with. I made one of filet butterflies with roses in between the blocks when I was pregant with my son who is now 27 . So the bedspread is that old. Ha. I love to crochet and knit , all of the needleworks I really love to do too. You are making a beautiful spread pinkroses |

Hi Nancy, You are so ambitious..and you must crochet very fast to get that much done since yesterday. I kinda like the pucker idea if it is a decorative cloth. I have seen doilies that pucker(ruffle) on purpose. I like the cape idea too. The only thing I crochet is scarves since they are staight. I have trouble enough with these.
You girls are so talented with crocheting and knitting. I'm in awe!!!

Nancy Jo-
I think it is wonderful! I think you will be very pleased with it! I only crochet blankets and I only use handspun because it seems to hide my mistakes- I am not very good at crochet :)
