Hi everyone!!

I first heard of MaryJanes Farm last year while on vacation. We were camping and decided to stop at a little roadside farmer's market and one of the vendors had magazines and I found MaryJanes magazine there!

My name is Blanche and I have been married almost 22 years....next month! We have 2 dks, a dd who is 19 and in college and a ds who is 13 and in Jr. High. Dh is a native Cali boy, grew up on a 14 acre avocado ranch. Ranching/farming are very much in his blood! I grew up in the midwest (Kansas) but have lived here for many years now! I am a SAHM and love to read, garden, tole paint, collect fat quarters (with the intention of finally learning to quilt very soon!!)and cookbooks. I love being a Mom and taking care of our home and of my family and I am really excited to be here with all of you!

Hi Blanche-

What a fun way to be introduced to MaryJane's Farm! I am so glad you decided to join us on the forum, you sound like a really neat person. I don't know how to quilt, either, but we have a lot of really excellent seamstresses here on the forums that are always willing to share their knowledge!

Welcome!

Alee

Welcome Blanche. I'm originally from So Cal too. When you mentioned avocados it reminded me of my own backyard with avocados, oranges, lemons and an apricot tree. Boy, I miss those days when I can pick fruit from my own bedroom window. My mom used to get so mad, I would pick oranges out of the window from my bunkbed in the middle of the night and throw the peels on the floor.

Welcome to you, Blanche!

I'm currently in Norhern Cal; in the San Francisco Bay area.....land of million dollar fixer uppers. Not too much undeveloped land around here, unless it is a park or open space preserve.

You'll find lots to learn here, & lots of funny, smart, supportive Farmgirls.
