Hi all. Any of you gals have a "Furminator?" It is an absolutely great tool for dealing with shedding animals. It is sold for use on dogs and cats but works great on horses, too. I used it on our horses "Duffy" and "Briggs" and by the time I was done, they were standing in a pile of horsehair! It is amazing and I would highly recommend to anyone dealing with shedding troubles.

Wow looked at the web site, impressive. Though I could not find a price. How much are they? Michele

Michele,
The price may vary some but here is the link to one online source that sells them so you can get an idea

http://www.petsmart.com/global/product_detail.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524441812948&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302026118&ASSORTMENT%3C%3East_id=2534374302023689&bmUID=1176877356517&itemNo=0&Ntt=furminator&In=ALL&previousText=furminator&N=2

Bev,
Thank you!! I think I may just need two or three!!! One for the barn and one for the house...they sound really worth it and it is good knowing from someone who owns and uses one! Thank you so much for the tip!

Hugz!
Talitha

Ouch, they are pricey. But it would be so nice to not have to vacuum every single day. I might have to stop by PetSmart tomorrow and see what their prices are, particularly if you say it really works. I have a lab and retriever that I swear I could "build" another dog from after I finish brushing them!

My sister in law tried it on her Aussie Shepherd and said that it worked better on the horses....so I am thinking that the smoother the coat, the better. I am sure it would not work on my Newfie.
