Been moving in my cabin this week. I posted a few pictures on my blog if you have time to check them out. It's going to be a nice getaway. The kids don't care for the idea of it being completely primitive, no electric or water and an outhouse, lol. I haven't got my woodburning cook stove in yet but will soon. Thanks so much for the encouragement everyone!
~~Blessings, Mikki Jo

Please post lots of pictures, I loved the other ones you posted, if it's totally primitive, does that mean we lose you here.

Mikki, I think it's great & the kids will get used to it. It's the perfect place to be primitive.

Mikki-

Rustic cabin living is the best! Without the distractions of the modern world it is so amazing how much more "connected" you feel with your self. I found when I was living rustically at my cabin that I felt like I could hear again for the first time in years. Not that I am hearing imparted or anything- it's just that with all the street noise, music, tv etc that seems to make a background hum to our daily lives it seems to drown out the sounds of natural living. When was the last time you heard your own heartbeat or noticed the changes in sounds that dawn and dusk make to the rest of the world?

Anyway I hope you enjoy it as much as I did (and do when I get the chance!)

Alee
