Yesterday evening we were outside with the dogs and what do you think we heard? The music from the ice cream truck going by our house. Wow, it was wonderful and we of course all got an ice cream. When we were kids and you heard the ice cream truck coming you knew summer had started.
It has been such a long time since I had something take me back to my childhood and make my heart sing! We can not wait for the next time he comes.
Does anyone else have the ice cream truck come to your neighborhood?
Have a wonderful Friday

Debbie

Been in this house 2-1/2 years and no ice cream truck. Had none come by the farm when I had it, either. It definitely is a welcomed summer sound.

I have not seen an ice cream truck in years it would be really nice to see, I live in the County so probably why! It would be overwhelmed for sure if we did too.
Thanks for the memories!

We used to have one circle around before the Pandemic so not sure if that will happen again. It brought back some sweet memories of when we used to have one come in our neighborhood sometimes. I loved the popsicles best!

I remember having the ice cream truck drive around our childhood neighborhoods - was such excitement for the kids! In the last 16 years we've lived here, I think I've only heard the ice cream truck maybe twice and it wasn't even in our neighborhood. The kids these days dont even know what they are missing - such treasured times! I'm so happy you bought ice cream from the ice cream truck , Debbie - we must always protect our inner child!! xo

I haven’t heard an ice cream truck in years. I miss that. It really is a staple of summer and childhood. So sad they don’t do it around here anymore. I wish my kids could experience that.

We live rural about 15-20 from town and a small community. So we were surprised to see him. Sure hope he comes back

Fun memories for sure, my favorite was the double banana popsicles! We live in the country so none come this way. Happily though, one year when camping at the beach, one would come through the campground every evening, so our son Will was able to enjoy the experience.

No ice cream truck here. However, for my sister and my birthdays in October, our neighbor would bring a gallon of their fresh truly whole milk over and we would make ice cream. It was always wonderful. I am looking forward to making ice cream with my kids in school next week as a closing of the year activity.

I love ice cream trucks but they don't come this far out in the country, way too far. I miss that tho
