On our way back from Florida the middle of the March we stopped in a small-town antique shop and my husband found this item and said "I want to get this to use as a planter." I really thought he was kidding, but . . . he wasn't! BTW - He is a retired nurse.

Monday we bought some ivy to put in it in our half-bath. There is a hole in the top of the back and we will hang it on the wall. LOL!

I would never, ever have thought of this---but I love it. A conversation piece for sure. I love using objects for things other than their original purpose.
