Ok..so I am growing out my hair. Getting some bangs this weekend. I want to pincurl my hair into large curls so I can wash it less and be cute!!!
I bought some mousse which would give a loose but good hold. I need to do big one's because my hair is slighty wavy in spots and will go CURLY CURLY CURLY if I do rollers too small. Any ideas on how I go about this? I have the basic bobby pins...something about them that I love. I think because my Nanna used to pin curl her hair.

My Mammaw used to pincurl hers too and then tie a scarf around all of them. I remember just making a circle and then using 1 or 2 bobby pins to catch the hair in. Does that make any sense? |

You use your finger to hold the circle of hair in place as you slip the bobby pin over the circle of hair. Geez I wish you lived close to me,it would be a cinch to show you how in person. |

I get excited and nostalgic when I see a women in the store in her "rollers" or pincurls with her colorful scarf carefully placed over them. I think it is the idea of simple beauty that I like and that it reminds me of my lovely Nanna. |

Oh yes... mother used to wash and set her hair everyday all kept under cover with a scarf, I now collect those kinds of scarfs, so many pretty colors and designs I wonder if they still sell those. O the memories of sleepin in pin curls... not one of my favorite things, was to much of a tom boy. Great link Katrina

I wonder what my short hair would like if I did this to it? It sure looks nice on the model who has long hair at the website.
