What in the world is wrong w/ me?? I keep asking myself over & over. It's springtime, I love the spring as much as autumn but Im in such a funk & I HATE IT!  I just started a new job & its finally getting better but its a bit physical & Im worring about that! I am so desperate for my couple of acres in Vermont that were not ready for yet! My baby is turning "16" on Sunday! I want my buss. up NOW, my workshop isn't until June! Working more hours to have my couple of acres in Vermont is leaving me NO TIME for anything! Im whiny, sad, unsure of EVERYTHING right now (I'm a need a plan type of person) jumpy on the inside & out and I can't stand being like this. I sat this morning & read my bible, prayed alot & I know it will all work out but this terrible restless feeling of wanting something so bad & NOT yet having it is a thorn in my side. Thanks for letting me vent girls!

(((hugs))) Michele, vent away! It is so hard to wait, and with all of that stuff on your plate it must be even harder. I was extremely restless last week, up until about 2 days ago and then it just passed and I've been fine. No way to explain it ~ maybe the weather? Hang in there, try to give yourself little "treats", whatever you need to take care of yourself.

Vent away indeed! If you dont get it off you chest, it'll drive you crazy.
I had a little meltdown yesterday myself. It happens.

| Oh Michele, hang in there. I know it's hard to want something so bad and try to be patient. Things will work out. Tomorrow will come and hopefully things will start falling into place. Lord give me patience, but give it to me NOW! |

Michele, I'm so sorry your feeling so bad. Things will work out. God definitely has His own timing, and patience can sure be a hard thing to come by sometimes. There's a scripture that I remind myself of often, "ALL things work to the good for those who love the Lord." He works things out for us. He can see what's further down the road, and what we need now. There's a rainbow in there somewhere, you'll see it soon! Just keep praying. Prayer and Love and Hugs coming your way!

Venting is a good thing! I too have been carrying those feelings. Yesturday I turned 48 - no big deal, my oldest son has been packing and moving out - I am excited for him (he is moving in town with his brother to get closer to work) - the weather has been anything but spring so I can not get out and get busy working the farm and last but not least watched TV and again felt like the world is way off the path to peace, kindness and love. I sit still and remind myself that each day is a gift and there is a purpose to my life even if I can not see it today. Today is my new adventure. For I am in charge of me, my life, my feelings and which way I place my foot to move foreword. We all need to be kinder to ourselves and to others. Know that you are hugged by me, loved by me and that I believe in you!!!!

Sending you hugs, Michelle. You can always vent with us. We do understand. Just keep your eyes on the prize. And give yourself a break once in awhile too. It will happen. You are way too determined for it not to.

Michele,
(((Hugs))) sounds like you are extremely busy and stressed.( to say the least) Have you tried some "me"time to just enjoy something for you! Something only you like to do. Bubble bath?... a trip to shop for a hobby or a night out with a friend. Your farm goal is still in the future to dream about. And what a wonderful prize you will have when you get that farm. Is there a short term goal(s) that you can aim for that can be accomplished sooner? Something that will give a sense of accomplishment sooner. Hang in there! you can do this!! Remember good things come to those who wait!

AAAhhh, Michele, I SO understand how you are feeling. This strange, strange weather had done a real number on me, and I didn't realize it until we got a glimpse of spring. I had/have been pushing, pushing, pushing to find some property out of the city. I want animals, I want a garden, I want, I want, I want......and then one day, one finally sunny day, I took a deep breath and realized how much of a pain I have been.
Hubby is planning on retirement in the next two years. He has worked himself to exhaustion for thirty five years with this organization and deserves a retirement. I know moving to the country will be anything but relaxing. It will be busy...there will be chores...and so I backed off. We both realize that staying in this townhouse is not for us long term, but I am now more than ready to find something that fits us BOTH - even if that means a small house in town with a sunny yard where I can put in a few plants.
Well, guess what....he has found a house with a small lake on ten acres that is about 80 miles from where we now live. He has looked and looked at the pictures and is encouraging me to investigate further and even make an appointment to go see it. I guess the moral to my story is that if you can take a deep breath and let go of some the need to control, it will turn around. Sometimes we can get so focused on trying to MAKE something happen that we lose sight of either our original goal OR the possibility of something even better presenting itself.
Give yourself a pat on the back for taking on this new job and mark each paycheck as one step closer to your dream and be open to the possibilities. Change is difficult, even if it is positive change, and we have to allow time to adjust and settle.
You'll get there...one step at a time.

Sandy, your so right & I do have things to look forward to. My fiber business should be up & running late spring early summer & I know I don't need sheep in my backyard to do it. I guess I just worry that we'll never have that much money for what we want & what we want isn't that big. We only need & want a few acres w/an existing house even if it needs work. Ed (hubby) can retire in 7 yrs. But doing something everyday towards that goal helps. I am 55 y/old & have wanted this same thing all my life, it will come. I want us both to be happy & I am very lucky and blessed w/ my husband. Thanks for all your input, I hope this "FUNK" will pass soon, Im sure it will. Right now it's raining so hard, I want to go back to bed!!

I also know the feeling! I get this restlessness quite frequently, when I feel like I'm stagnating. I want change, and I want it NOW. Even when things are busy and I should be immersed in the project(s) at hand, I often think "this isn't what I really want." Sometimes thinking that what I'm doing now may not be what I ultimately want, but is a means to get me what I want, helps. Not always, but often enough that it calms down that restlessness.

We are all here for you and will help carry you through this down time you are experiencing! Maybe it's like a cold...we need to have them so our immune system stays strong. Hey Michelle -- just wondering how your mood and coping strategies were coming along. We have had a series of beautiful days with the windows open and birds singing. I'm definately feeling a lot sunnier myself. Not that any of the "issues" aren't still there...just my perspective is a bit better.

hey Sandy, thanks for asking. I am much better now. I hate being in a funk & that one was terrible. At least now I can plant (Im happiest in a garden). I just did a little kitchen do-over to look more like a farmhouse kitchen. I think I just get so amxious for my little slice of farmlife, you know? I am so happy when it happens for others & a bit envious at the same time. It seems to ALWAYS be at this time of year(very early spring) and once I start planting I am better. Thanks for asking.

Glad to hear it, Michele. You're not alone...Retreat centers have their busiest seasons in January and February. People are just tired of winter and gray weather and need a break!
I've learned that it takes as much time and energy to wish as it does to plan.
