Before you know it we'll be busy in the garden and kitchen canning all our goodies. While we still have some stay inside days left, let's do an apron swap. I want to include anyone who would like to join so it's up to the creator what to make - full or half apron. I would like this to be a homemade apron so if you don't sew and would still like to join how about getting a pre-made plain apron and decorating it somehow. The only requirement is 1 apron to 1 partner. Anything else is completely optional.

I am going to sit this one out Heather, I do not sew in a sewing machine and make aprons. So I will enjoy all of yours!

Debbie - I'm sending you an e-mail in case you don't get back on here but I'd love for you to join in the fun. You don't have to sew the apron. You could repurpose a shirt, buy an apron and hand sew some buttons on it in a cute pattern, or I'm pretty sure you crochet you could add a crocheted edge to a purchased apron. I just want a personal touch to all the aprons they're so much more special that way. But you don't have to do the sewing :)

Please add me - I love aprons, though I don't wear them enough.

I am on vacation, but have several aprons made, and can use one of them or make another when I get home.

Hi, Ladies!
This swap sounds so fun! But I'm in Debbie's boat. I don't really sew, just embroider and crochet and knit a bit. So I may just embellish a vintage apron from my stash, or buy a new vintage one for this craft.
In case I can't find a vintage one to glam up, can anyone tell me where I'd buy a pre-made apron to decorate? Also, approximately when will the mail out date be?
Thanks!
Amy

Hi Amy - so glad to have you join the fun! Try to mail out by April 1st. I have seen plain aprons at Hobby Lobby and Walmart. Joann's fabrics may have some too but I'm not 100% sure on that.

I want to thank Jean and Grace for the little packages that I found in my mailbox yesterday. I have no excuse for not trying my hand at making an apron and oh yes potholders. They you both so much you two are special.
I also want to thank you both and a Heather for challenging me. I will be in my bedroom sewing all weekend.
