Well, I am doing the German Happy Dance, also known as the Chicken Dance! Lol!

I came across a German company that ships to the USA.
German Shop 24.
I placed my order late in the evening of the 15th, next day got a confirmation that the shipment was placed and would arrive on the 21st.
Guess what??? It arrived today, 3 days early!
It was shipped with DHL
I am beyond giddy, and it was a flat $25 for shipping.
The box had I sent it to Germany via the USPS, would have cost me ,$57 and would have taken 10-14 days!.
And everything was well wrapping.

Now I have a viable avenue for purchasing my favorite products that I can't find here in Spokane... And now I don't have to rely on family to buy and ship.

Like I said, I am doing the Happy Chicken Dance!

Cheaper than flying over, though given my druthers, I would rather fly over...
The box weighed a tad over 5lbs, and it only cost $25

I even ordered a Lebkuchen Herzen just for fun!
I am so impressed with how well everything was packaged,, even the bag of Spätzle was in great shape, not broken..
Stocked up on my Knodel mix as I am to lazy to make from scratch... lol!

Karen,
both Winnie aka redtractorgirl and Debbie aka blessed in Colorado luv German food,
I grew up with it, as I was born in Germany and my mother brought me to the USA when I was 2 1/2 years old. We went back several times to live until 1968. Then we stayed in USA.
So I grew up on German food.
Some of the things I like would probably gag many of you, like Blüte tsunge Wurst aka Blood tongue meat.
Give me a thick slice of farmers bread, slathered with unsalted butter or mustard and a couple of slices of Blood tongue and a few slices of tomatoes, sprinkle a bit of pepper and I am home and happy.

Wunderbar! We were stationed in Augsburg, and I loved the Bavarian foods. In fact, I'm in the mood for gulashsuppe...

Grace, you certainly DID score!! Much of what you got in your box we carry at the commissary!! I so enjoy the lebkuchen and the potatoe knodels, spargle soup, the dill salad mix and we STILL drink Jacob's here! My favorite tho, and some day ill attempt the recipe, were the dampfknodels we would get while skiing!! LOVE THOSE SO MUCH!!! During Easter wed go to a little town, can't remember right now, and buy quirkiness. Never had them any other time but during Easter. If you ever need anything let me know. I'm happy you were able to find a good company tho! Such wonderful memories....:)

Dianna, we live near the Air Force Base, but I no longer have Base access, but a friend took me on, we checked out the Commissary, no German products. Bummer.

Well, if we get to hit the dusty trail this, AL may be on my route! Heehee, just sayin'

I hear there are 2 places / towns in TX that are totally German inspired.. I need to check them out too!

Diana, were is " World Trade Market?

There is a World Market- Cost Plus, but they ca very für German products, and usually seasonal.

We have 1 German Deli, and 1 German restaurant and 3-4 Eastern Euro markets that carry mostly Ukrainian, Slovick, and Russian products.

Grace, I would need to come to your house and sample everything first before I order because I have no idea what any of that is lol! But I can only imagine how tasty it all is. I’m glad you were able to find a place where you can get what you want and that the shipping is great! Enjoy all your goodies.

Krista, or I could come to your house and cook in return for you crocheting that "snow outfit" (remember the photo I posted?)..
and if you didn't, then I would have to over dose your kiddos in sweets and spoil them rotten! lolol!
