This is the month of love for couples to express it to one another but whos to say its only for couples right? PLUS, why just one month? Why not everyday of every month?? Yes to that!

So this month's theme is Angel love. There has been so much heartache in 2020-21 and is spilling over into 2022 around my area. My heart desires to help but how? So this month we will create 2 ATC's with an angel theme filled with love and hope and encouragement! One for your swap partner, one to send to someone who's been sick, healing, discouraged or just needing their spirits lifted. Ok?
The size is a standard atc 21/2 x 3 1/2. Any medium. All kinds of additional materials can be added to make your angel shine!!
Sign ups until February 11, partners assigned on the 12th and send off is asap.

Artist trading cards (ATCs) are miniature pieces of art that are traded around the world. Artists create, trade and collect art at organized "swap" events, either in person or online. The only official rule for ATCs is the size: 2.5" x 3.5". Artist Trading Cards are the same format as modern trading cards (hockey cards or baseball cards). Alternately you may choose to use a round ATC Coin of 2.5" diameter. They are self-made unique works or small series, signed and dated on the reverse by the artist/producer, exchanged and collected by the people who participate in the collaborative performance.
Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) are a conceptual art project initiated by the Swiss artist M. Vanci Stirnemann. He called it a Collaborative Cultural Performance. In 1997 he created 1200 cards by hand as part of an exhibit. On the last day, he invited others to create their own cards and trade with him during the closing reception. The movement took off, and today, there are ATC swaps in almost every major city around the world!
You can make ATCs with many different media including paper, fabric, felt, metal, wood, clay, paint, stamps, embellishments and more. There are tons of ideas and inspiration available online if you google ATC or Artist Trading Cards.

Hi everyone,
I had to check back in to see what I was to put on the back of my ATC. I am home from school today. We have ice and snow. Not as bad as some places worse than others. Our electric is out but this is a well insulated home and we just lit the little buddy propane heater. All else fails we will head to the basement. I do not think it will get that cold up here though. I am going to go grill hamburgers in a bit outside. It is 30degrees F. So it will be OK there too.

Happy you are safe and warm at least Terri and you've got some down time to art a little! It got pretty stormy here last night and still raining today. I finished housework and am arting and sewing myself!! We will have pizza! So enjoy your weekend and stay safe and warm!! Xx

Hopefully you will all read this. I will be stepping down from hostess in the ATC swap. I've got upcoming surgery and also will be gone several weeks to see my grandbaby.
