Grace, each potholder idea gets cuter and cuter!! Yours are turning out great.
Snow? What is thatpray tell! We are having a cold spell and it was in the mid 60s all afternoon with lots of sunshine. Actually, truth be told, I would love to have some snowy days where a cup of hot chocolate just hits the spot and there are landscapes all draped in white and the air is quiet and peaceful.

Winnie,,, snow is highly overrated,, tomorrow we are due in up to 12" of snow with freezing temps possible power outages.. oh joy, here we go, and btw JeanP will probably get the same as us. Got my fuzzy lined leggings ready to wear!

Great idea Grace. I definitely need a few new potholders and I sure love yours. We are in a good old fashioned blizzard today so I think after a few morning chores I am going to start piddling (Thank You Sara for that word) with fabric and see what I come up with.

I'm jealous! It's finally cold here. Temps dropping all day but no snow - it's going around us. Instead it's just frozen mud :( At least we can finally get all the pens cleaned and hauled out on the field.
Winnie - If it ever does snow I'll be drinking hot chocolate for sure, but it won't be peaceful LOL! I'll be squealing with joy and throwing lots of snowballs! Maybe you should try some frozen cocoa?!?
Grace - love the colors of those potholders! One day I'll have some time to sit and sort through my totes. Hopefully next week.

Oh Grace, ALL your potholder ideas are tremendously adorable and pretty! The weather is not allowing me much time inside to sew but I'll catch up. I do have the beautiful materials and a pattern just not the time....yet. Thanks for all the inspiration!

Jean Pici, today I received the most beautiful act of kindness in the mail! The potholder is gorgeous and perfect for my kitchen use! I was truly touched and choked up by such a sweet note and gift. I adore the little love note book and will write a few things in it and place it in the box I am mailing off to Africa for Danny! He'll enjoy that and gives him something to look forward to when he gets back in April! :) You have NO IDEA how much that meant to me. Thank you for thinking of me. Happy Jubilee....and a huge hug!

I was rummaging through some boxes out in the garage, and came across some boxes of books that I hadn't unpacked..
Kookie what I found... These are from the 1940's and the black one is 1950.
Now. If only I could crochet!

Winnie,, Thank you for the sweet little heart that you sent me,, it motivated me to go play in my sewing room and make some more heart shaped pot holders..
I cut out 7 and a bunch of circles for yoyos... Tomorrow I will iron and start sewing...
Hmm do I need to attend a "7-step" program for potholder addiction? lol!

Just a reminder,, We love crochet and knitted potholders,, Oh How I need to learn.. or move next door to some of you talented gals who crochet and knitt.. Then maybe I could make some of those sweet 1940's potholders...
BTW, I am happy to photocopy any pattern in the (above photo) booklet... and send them to anyone who wants to challenge themselves.
