I heard this this morning on my local news, but not the national. I don't know where this pet food is sold(not familiar to me). A company called 'Eight in One' has recalled Dingo brand dog/cat/ferret food treats because of salmonella concerns. This could also impact on anyone handling these treats. They include:
Dingo Chick'n Jerky
Dingo Kitty Chicken Jerky
Dingo Ferret Chicken Jerky
The phone number listed is: 888-232-9889

Thanks, Janice. I'll make sure to mention this to my mom, as her dogs LOVE them.
I wonder...that could be why I saw a ton of those Dingo snacks at our Big Lots on Saturday....yikes. Target and our Petsmart also got rid of them a few weeks ago--Petsmart marked them down, Target simply eliminated them from stock. Sure does make you wonder what retailers know before the public, doesn't it?

That is so scary that they marked them down! Contaminated items should be disposed of- not rushed out of the store and into consumer's hands!

It is amazing to me that so much contamination is appearing in the pet foods right now. I trust my dog's brand of dog food but I keep being terrified that it is going to end up on the contaminated list too!

I hope no one has the contaminated food and I hope all our pets are well!
