I had never thought of spun goat's hair for doll hair. I bet that would be nice. I use unspun alpaca on my dolls because it's so long and silky, and I've been having trouble finding the red-brown color I had used previously. I've only got black right now, and my dolls are getting tired of always being black-haired. Does anyone have a source for smallish amounts of red-brown alpaca fibre? I'd like to get it locally, of course, but I've had no luck with that so far... Frannie - I'll let you know if I ever get around to having a herd of goats and can spin up some doll hair for you. But hopefully another farmgirl can help you out in a more timely fashion!

Call it Mohair Frannie..it comes from angora goats. I only have a white one, but could send some of that. Seems like Frannie in Texas had some colored ones. I could be wrong though.
Jenny in Utah Inside me there is a skinny woman crying to get out...but I can usually shut her up with cookies http://www.auntjennysworld.blogspot.com/ visit my little online shop at www.auntjenny.etsy.com |

Grace, I'm interested in some reddish brown alpaca roving - I've just emailed you. Thank you for posting!
