Gal pal and I took a mini road trip earlier this week. Tried out a new restaurant up Hwy 95 on the way to the Warpath Smoke Shop and Trading Post. Great lunch and fun road house. Then on to the wonderful bead selection at the Warpath. I didn't get any beads but I did get two beautiful Pendleton throw blankets for Christmas gifts. And, and, and, I simply HAD to have this great set of markers in their own convenient zipped pouch. I knew Santa had been wondering about Christmas gifts for me, so I thought I'd help him out. Wasn't that nice of me?

It was dark by the time we got back to Moscow, so we took a little detour through the part of town with the wonderful Victorian homes that are all decorated for Christmas. What eye candy -- too beautiful.

Christmas is definitely in the air up here in northern Idaho.

Jean, you two had a fantastic outing! I think you were very wise, as well as helpful, to get a few things for yourself and spare Santa from having to guess again. I tend to do that all the time because if you tell someone what you want, then it isn't a surprise. I would rather buy that I need and let others surprise me with something.

I bet those Victorian homes were just gorgeous all spiffed up for the Holidays!

Jean -- I love that marker set and especially the case for them. Pendleton blankets are so pretty and the shirts are nice and warm; DH gave me one for my birthday a few years ago.
We went to DH's archery clubs Christmas dinner yesterday and I had my annual hot buttered rum. There were lots of wonderful raffle presents but alas we didn't win anything.

Jean, that sounds like such a fun trip! I love your bag and markers. Those colors are beautiful. I bet Santa really appreciates the help. I know I have helped him out quite a few times myself!

And, tomorrow we're going again -- weather willing as it has been blizzarding all day but is supposed to clear tomorrow. Fingers crossed. We'll hit another even awesomer (??) trading post in Lewiston and then check out a new winery we heard about for lunch and a wee tasting. And of course I may have to hit the quilt store while I'm there to see if there is anything I simply can't live without. Haven't been out and about this much in TWO FLIPPIN' YEARS!! I don't quite remember how to act in public, but I' winging it.
hugs,
jean

I'm slowly remembering how to act in public again. The hardest part is remembering to take off my slippers and put on real shoes.

Second trip was aborted due to the weather. Bummer! Winter has set in with a vengeance here in northern Idaho. No complaints other than travel limitations. The west is certainly in need of the precipitation. And, I have lots of UFO's and supplies for new projects to keep me from getting bored. However, it's beginning to feel a lot like February around here and I'm wondering how soon Cabin Fever may set in.

Jean - send some my way will you? We were 63 yesterday and 61 today with rain - it doesn't feel like Christmas. It's supposed to cool back down this weekend, but also dry out so no snow :( Sorry to hear your trip was cancelled.

Yes, Mam. It was out on Sunday when we woke up and didn't get restored until dinnertime but has been fine since then. Just a lot of wet, heavy snow and ice going on here.

Wish you could send some our way. We've been in the 50s and 60s. I was hoping for a white Christmas our first year here.
Your trip sounded wonderful Jean. Glad you've gotten out and about.
