OK, Ladies - sorry for the Haberdashery bombing, but... I'm not really sorry! Giggle!
UPDATE:
I will also be having a little drawing for a surprise mini haberdashery giftie giveaway!
So, after I randomly draw names for partners for the swap - I will also draw one name as a winner for my little giftie giveaway. Just a little something to commemorate this swap, that's all. Nothing real big - but still fun, I hope!? Happy Haberdashery! xo

I wanted to share with you my Haberdashery Sewing Treasures and what I keep it all in.
Years ago I was reading a Stampington and Company Magazine I think, and a woman had made her sewing kit so she could grab it and go when traveling or waiting for a child after school or other appointments.
I love the idea! I had an old train case and as you can see it is plum full, it goes everywhere I go. I have some hand sewing and other little craft items to work on in it. Mine is over stuffed with lovely vintage sewing treasures and other treasures, it is very special to me. I want to redo the train case and make it more girly!
Just a few my ideas Farmgirl.

I used the following story as an ending to a little book I wrote years ago. This delightful Haberdashery Swap made me think about it and so I thought I would share it with you. I can just picture the peddler's wagon trotting up the lane here at Clearwater Farm rather than the brown UPS truck . . .
In 1883 a Spice Box Set cost 75 cents . . .
“Scuttles and can,
Buttons and bows,
I’ll cure your ills,
And cheer your woes.”
So sang the peddler from his wagon full of useful and interesting items. Just as important, however, was the news he brought and the tales he told as he unpacked his treasures and offered them for trade. In return for the wanted spices, medicines, needles, thread, buttons, or whatever, he was offered feathers, rags (white were the most favored), or homemade products. And, then, he bid farewell and his visit came to a mutually satisfying close

Denise that reminds me of a young Ron Howard singing that “Wells Fargo wagon” song in the movie “The music Man”. Do you remember that? The whole town was excited because it was bringing all of the instruments so they could start a band.

Wanda!!!!! You hit a chord on my heart! That was an all time favorite movie growing up and even now when I can find it! Sara laughs at me when the songs come on because I know them by heart, even 'talk a little. Ron Howard stole my heart then and even now I still hold a tender spot for him! Funny you should mention that particular movie!
