If there is some trouble HAgrid can get in - he will! He was bitten on the foot by a copperhead today! Took him to the vet and he looks okay and seems to be feeling better. Got a benydryl shot and some antibiotics. He is real swollen but he just took a treat which he had no interest in when he first got bit.
He got bit on the same foot he hurt when he got hit by a car in the fall. He had torn some ligaments and has had trouble walking on it since. I guess it was a good thing the snake didn't get his good foot.

Oh, Julie! I hope he will be OK. Gosh. This just makes me shudder- I do not like snakes!! I hope that he is long gone now.

He's a big baby but he is already acting a ton better and is already eating. I don't think he got a big bite I really think the snake just knicked him. He'll be fine. He has had every bizzare ailement known in the animal world, he's been hit by a car before and now a snake bite. He's a crazy dog!

I am so glad to hear he is doing better!
As the owner of a 100 pound, completely klutzy, accident prone,(but oh, so lovable) dog, I can empathize!!
