Hi there my name is Jamie, I am 38 years old. I live in Michigan I have 3 kids, 2 girls and 1 boy...6 horses, chickens, one duck "lucky" many barn cats...one out numbered dogand yes 2 red barns. I'm trying to gracefully get through this muddy time of the year that can be very frustrating...the draft horses make ruts the size of cookie sheets when out in paddock. I'm hoping having a group to converse with might ease the way to summer days and dry ground!!!! Looking forward to being a part of fun.

Jamie,
So glad to have you! Your place sounds wonderful! What kind(s) of draft horses do you have? I hope to have some one day, I love them! All the ones I have worked with and been around have been the sweetest ever! And I would love to know what kind of chickens you have. Am so sorry your mud room is getting overused, but am thankful that brought ya here! Hope to see you round this farm often even after the sun drys things up! Welcome and see you round!
Hugz!
Talitha

Thank you for the warm welcome. It was fun to read the responses. To answer some questions I have black percheron draft horses, they will be 5 in May and I've had them since they were 4 months old. "Birdie" and "Hendrix". I have Barred Rock chickens and one crazy rooster. I have to agree, the draft horses are very good natured. Thanks again. I'm looking forward to being a part of your group. Hello jamie and welcome to the group!! I just love seeing Percheron's when I go to the Amish areas or Horse shows. They have such big hearts and really big babies

(and I understand the mud issue - I have wonderful clay soil in Pa)
