Well I have found a good home for my 2 hens. They are going to a guy who plans on ordering a batch of chicks soon, he has a good coop set up already from when his son was in 4-H several years ago. He seemed excited about my bantam that had a 14 egg nest hidden from me in a leave pile in the stand of trees behind their pen. He said he will make sure to find her a little rooster so she can raise some babies I needed to find them some where to go so I can finish cleaning up the yard to sell our house, and I got really lucky and feel like they will be even happier there than here. But I am going to miss my gals, I love to watch them kicking of the yard scratching for bugs. And my daughters love going out every afternoon and 'catching' the egg Flossy (Barred Rock) lays for them in her little house, they will miss the hens, and I know my 3 year old will scream and cry when we take them away tonight. But the sooner we get things cleaned up and start packing things away and get the house sold the sooner we get to spend time in Iowa with my parents and then moved to Mississippi-where we are going to get a puppy as soon as we are settled! Anyway just kinda happy yet sad to see my gals go.

Sorry Liz, but I do hope the move goes well and that you will feel right at home in your new place!

Liz,
I know it must be hard to leave your girls (chickens). They do grow on you don't they? Can you get more once you're settled in your new home? If not, the puppy will be more than enough excitement! Hope the move is smooth and you have a nice time with your family.

I'd rather live my life with a "full plate" than an empty one. Life is not a rehearsal... eat up!
