Hey Ladies!!!

I am looking for ideas and pictures for painting and decorating paneled walls!!! Would love for some of you all to share your ideas if you have made this kind of changes in your house. Also if you painted your paneled walls did you like the changes you made??? All of my walls are not paneled but don't want to make a mess of the couple that are by jumping into something that I haven't done before.

Pictures please!!!

Hugs!

Judy

Judy -

Here is what we did to our pictureframe paneling - 2-tone paneling. We had it done.

Before

After

We LOVE it. It brightens up the room a lot. The paint is Sherwin WIlliams and is called Natural Linen on the walls and Pure White on the trim. (The Pure White really has 2 tiny drops of black in it.)

Judy, I haven't painted paneled walls but my niece had a room done. The painter did not use a primer for paneled walls and the paint scratches and chips easily. A primer is needed.

True, Sara. I used Professional painters and they primed first, then 2 coats, then trim. Love how it turned out.

I saw this in a magazine and thought it was genius:

Buy some nautical cotton rope. glue it into the grooves in the paneling. Then paint over the ropes and the rest of the wall. It gives it a textured look. The pictures in the mag showed it with a nautical theme. It looked fabulous!
