Yes, there is such a thing as Strawberry mint...
I finally located my go-to Chocolate mint.. and while perusing the other mints I found a Strawberry mint,, and I kid you not,, It smells like strawberries!!! I can hardly wait to dry some leaves for my afternoon tea.

Yes Lisa I bought some strawberry and bought a couple from that very place. Wow also on pear! It is so interesting. I have pinapple mint, mojito mint, chocolate mint, spearmint and peppermint. All so delightful.

Really? I may not have been out enough to ever see it local. Lucky you...I can hardly wait. All the flavors are wonderful. I love mint everything. Also I have to admit...I came across a berries and cream mint and had to treat myself to that one as well. :)

OOH! Berries & Cream.. sounds heavenly!
At the market where I got the strawberry mint, there was also a Mojito mint and a grapefruit mint.. the grapefruit had barely any scent.

I love them and excited to try more varieties. Here in Texas they just grow away most of the year. They do die back for a few months in winter. They are some of the quickest to come back in spring.
Is your strawberry mint quick growing as well?

These all sound amazing! And I haven’t heard of most of them. I’m going to keep an eye out for them. The strawberry one sounds the best.

Gosh, this is a new herb to me too! It sounds quite interesting and you will have to let us know how it works when you use it for tea.

When I lived in SO CAL.. mint was like a weed and grew all year long.. loved it... but up in in the Inland NW,, nearly everything dies b-geraniums, most herbs and all mints. So I pretty much have to plant new each spring... If I mulch right,, I can save some of the plants.. but it's pretty much hit & miss.

Here in Northern Michigan I have to make sure I plant any type of mint in containers otherwise my entire yard would soon be “minty fresh”! Learned. From. Personal. Experience. Ahem . . . |

Gracie! Gracie! I FOUND IT!!! I am so excited! Bought three plants today! It smells soooo good! Reminds me of those "strawberry shortcake" ice cream treats on a stick we used to get from the ice cream man when we were kids! I LOVE IT!!! Just SO excited!!! Thank you so much for the recommendation! Eeee! Happy, happy, joy, joy! Hugs - Nini

Like all of you I hadn't heard of strawberry mint and like all of you I wanted one so I ordered it today. A little late for me to pot a new plant but it should be okay. As long as it is settled in before it really starts to heat up in July.

I filled Annie's deck water bowl a little while ago. It's close to my strawberry mint so I felt of the leaves and it smelled so good. I called Annie to come in, but she was too busy smelling the strawberry mint to pay any attention to me. She has never paid any attention to any of my other herbs, but apparently she likes strawberry mint too.

Grace, Strawberry mint is a new herb to me but it sounds wonderful! I have not seen this herb down here but I will need to look harder. I wonder if it can tolerate the long hot and humid weather we have.

I never saw strawberry mint before; must look for it when I venture out again. I had a nice bed of Egyptian mint for 40 years that moved three time with me but lost in the last drought two years ago. I finally found it again online and ordered it. Keeping my fingers crossed I can bring it through this years drought.

Judith,, never heard of Egyptian mint... sounds intriging..
I love the scent of my strawberry mint, I have it planted next to a Geranium plant with a chocolate mint on the other side.. Sort of like having a fresh chocolate covered strawberry lol!.
I think I will try to dig them both up in the Fall, to pot and bring into the house for the Winter... fingers & eyes crossed I can save them for the following Spring.
