Hi girls,
Please say a little prayer for my husband. I've got his back, but things are getting a little tougher for him. He is ok, but when he is having a hard day, it is really hard.

Thank you, dear sisters... So much. I've been hesitating to tell you, but I think specific prayer is needed. Sometimes FTD patients develop ALS. Well, he has developed a weird almost panting/forced breathing recently, as well as other symptoms of concern. Combine those with his "decline," as the doctor puts it, they will be testing him soon to rule out ALS. His breathing like this is not constant, but often enough to be of concern. I wanted to stay on top of things, so alerted the doctor. I half expected him to say this is normal, not to worry. But thankfully my hubby has a great doctor and The Great Physician, and neither one is lettimg this slip through the cracks. I am hoping to God that prayer will lead to healing. He just doesnt need or deserve this, too. So, there it is. I said it. I am not going to fear. I am going to pray, let go and let God.
Thank you for praying for him/us. Seriously: thank you.

Thank you for asking, Darlene! He did VERY well on his tests. We have not heard from his doctor yet, but we have been so busy with appointments and must-do's that I haven't had time to call him, either. This breathing thing he is doing is just so freaky. It sounds like choppy little short forced breaths, sort of like panting. Quick forced in, quick forced out. And sometimes it is very loud, but he doesn't even notice. I have GOT to record it on my phone for the doctor to hear, I keep forgetting. That plus some other symptoms have them concerned about the ALS. I wasn't allowed with him in his nerve conduction and EMG tests, but he said the doctor told him they were fine. If he is right, that is VERY good news, I believe. I am just not sure where they will want to go with this moving forward. I just don't like his breathing. It's as if he has to think about breathing and makes himself breath, but he is totally unaware he is doing it. I don't know what to think. I really don't know what to make of it. I don't want him to stop breathing!!! So truly, prayers are EXTREMELY appreciated!!
