I know, I know...
Just wanted to let you gals know of a company that I just placed an order with. "Who Gives A Crap".. They have recycled/bamboo products. No plastic wrapping, in fact, each roll is wrapped in adorable tissue paper that can be reused. (apparently one of their issues had the rolls wrapped in paper that was like a coloring page for kiddos!) The reviews are very favorable, and their prices are on par, it not better than Amazon bulk papers. PLUS, they give 50% of proceeds to help build sanitation and toilets in areas in need.
We use very little TP, as we are cloth TP users, but in our upstairs toilet, which is mainly utilized overnight, and when guests come, we use regular TP.
I also ordered some of their tissues and paper towels.
Glad to support a company that gives back.

My husband's solution to the TP shortage is to put a bidet in both bathrooms. Problem solved! LOL I fought it for years until I discovered they have a front spraying one for women and it has warm water hook-up. So no more issues of TP. I bought it off Amazon for $48. My DH knows how to connect it so it will be installed this week.

And then, there's always . . .

Mullein aka
“cowboy toilet paper”

Even hard men want a soft leaf. If the cowboys used the large velvety leaves of the mullein (Verbascum thapsus) plant while out on the range, then you can too! Mullein is a biennial plant available for use in almost every bioregion. When this plant blooms in the spring, not only will it satisfy your lower cheeks, but you’ll be awed by a striking display of yellow flower blossoms growing up towards the sky. Since this plant grows over six feet tall, it will certainly grab your attention as you’re scrambling around on roadsides and trails. Added bonus: If you have a cough while at camp, whip up a tea made from “unused” mullein leaves, and you’ll be resting at ease in no time.jean . . . P.S., I have lots of seeds if you want some.

Marsha, I would love a bidet, but we don't have an electric outlet near the toilet. Not sure how to work around that.
Jean, I LOVE mullein, and should I ever have to when I'm out driving for work in the countryside, I think the velvety leaves would be my first choice. The flowers are also good for earaches.

Maybe we should save our newspapers and catalogs we all get at this time of year. Newsprint has antibacterial properties and biodegrades well.

Grace, ouch! Lol.
