Hi everyone!

It's been 4 months since we've moved into our home. We've been painting and have had a lot of work done here, and more to still do. Some of the repairs were expected and some not. Nothing terrible. Still I can't believe the mountain views we have. Soon my greenhouse will go up, something I've been dreaming of for years. We just realized that we have sugar maples here, so we've tapped the trees and are collecting sap to make maple syrup. That was exciting to discover! I am going to have so many plants to put in the ground. I've started vegetable seed indoors under lights. There's a small room off the kitchen which I've made into my walk in pantry, but it needs paint and flooring. I can't wait for it to be done so I can do canning this year.

Our second grandson, Christian Noah, is due in June. So many great changes. The stress i felt in the house we were renting is simply gone. Moving away from that chaos has felt like a burden off of my shoulders. The house next door to me sold after ours did and the neighbor came over to introduce herself, which was nice. There's a freight train that passes down in the valley every day. it is super long and so cool to hear. We have coyotes too. I told my husband that we are so lucky to live here. I will post pictures soon. I am so happy that spring is just days away!

Well That is s true saying. but not what I intended to post lol! Your place sounds beautiful. welcome to NY!! Wouldn't live anywhere else. We have 43 acres here. Just wanted to warn you, the coyotes are pretty cool to hear howling. But, they are very hard on any small animals or fowl you may own.Just a word of caution! I am sure you probably already know that. Hope you enjoy your new home and surroundings.

For the late update, we almost have all of the plants in the ground. I had hernia surgery two weeks ago so its taking longer to get things done. My husband and son are working hard. The maple syrup turned out thin but delicious. We discovered that we have more sugar maples than we thought, so next year we will really be cranking out the syrup. My outdoor pizza oven is setup, as well as my campfire cooking areas. The house is a mess because we've been focusing on the yard for so long. now we're expecting heat for the next 5 days, and i won't be outside in that. In the greenhouse, the lettuce and arugula are ready. with the heat, further lettuce crops will be done outside the greenhouse. My heart feels content and my dream is unfolding. I just want to sit under my sugar maple reading my Mary Jane's mag and admiring the mountain view. Oh, and my second grandson, Christian, is due in like a week!

Rest first. Then share pictures of the greenhouse. I've always wanted one.
