My husband mailed my found word today...
Now I understand what Judith said. I'm glad I'm not that either.
If you are younger you may not have ever seen a movie from the "olden" days.
Ransome notes were popular...It seems they were always cut and pasted...so no one would recognize the hand writing. Ha!

I would have had an easier time of it if I had had more than two magazines, and they weren't very good ones :-)
So I am trying different techniques now.

I think I found only one of two words...The rest were cut and pasted. I had several magazines as well as some junk mail.

I guess I'm doing it the hard way! I did finish mine today for Jean and like it so much I am keeping it and doing another for her! I just take a section of any magazine page, randomly chose words to make my 'poem' or saying, circle them, black out the rest!! I absolutely love doing this! Judith I thank you for taking over for dear Alise. I sure miss her here and about tho.
Marilyn, I giggled so hard at the ransome note comment! Yes, funny how it has become an 'art' now tho isnt it??

I found using a page fro a book and looking for words that made sense difficult but fun. I'm having fun with Walden, my book to mark and tear up. I also like to write Haiku, the Japanese poetry form that uses 17 syllables in three lines. Hmmm -- maybe a Haiku swap?

Well, well, can I go a little rogue here??? Do I HAVE to find my words in magazines??? I think I found the perfect words lurking on my sewing machine for my "Crazy in Alabama" swap partner (fun movie). . . say what??? It's too hot here and it has addled my poor little pea brain me thinks. And, NO! I have not been drinking . . . Will be creating my masterpiece tomorrow . . . LOL.

Ohhh Judith! I love Haiku!! English, composition and writing were my favorite subjects in my first year of college!! Do start a swap!! :D
Jean, you are so funny! Sorry I was an indian giver but you would have never known had I not said something! ;) So be patient with me a couple more days. Takes me longer to art on it than pick out the words for the poem or saying!!

Lol Marilyn! Luckily it is my left!! :) and I've learned to use my toes to help me with a lot of things! Sara is gone this week, it's been challenging being on my own!! But wow, how inventive we can be when we need to be!!
