Does anyone have one? We're considering one. I have 2 freezers filled with 1/2 cow and lots of other goodies. It would really stink if we lost power for more than a day or so. I've heard stories about ice storms here in East Tennessee.
Everything is electric in this house. I'd have to go to the camper to make coffee on the gas stove.

I dont have one, but I have lost power for 4 days at one point and lost nothing in the freezers. DON'T open them when the power is out they will stay frozen for a long time. Diana

I don't open my freezers either. We have a Generac for the house but haven't had to use it yet thankfully.

I am totally off grid, and since I live in the northwest there is not enough sun to supply 24/7 power in the winter. I have a Kabota 6500 diesel generator that supplies power to my batteries when there is enough sun. It is backed up by a Yamaha 3000.
