I was sorting books (among other things) in my craft room.. when I came across this one..
Now, keep in mind.. I would probably get more accomplished if I didn't get so side track... lol!

and while thumbing threw it... found this..

too funny seeings how I just made one, based off an advertisement I saw in a magazine..

I created my own pattern.. but how easier it would have been to just use the one in the book.. lol!

I have quite a few of Tilda's books. I thought I would like to make some of the dolls, but really just like the usable things. Connie makes such cute dolls and critters from Tilda books. I will probably try to sell many of the books I have that I know I won't use.

I must ask...... What is it? It looks rather like a soda straw holder.
As I look back on my life I realize I could have gotten a lot more done if I hadn't spent so much time reading.

Judith,, it's a 'French Press' you put coffee grounds in the glass container, then pour in boiling water, and press down(slowly) the wire plunger to force the grinds down to the bottom..(keeps the grounds from pouring out into your cup).
I use mine a lot when camping....
I have friends that only drink French Press coffee instead of the Coffee maker(like Mr.Coffee) and K-cup type..

Linda, yes,, I luv Tilda (Noraway/UK) books,, I had the best of intentions of making the dolly angels and the sweet little bags.. yet here I am,, still just looking,, lol!

Oh yeah -- now I can tell what it is! DH has two of them but probably doesn't want them domesticated.

Grace, that is really cute. I've never tried a French Press. I just use an old fashioned coffee pot on the fire. Although I do believe my camping days are over. :-( . Just can't do a tent anymore. Anyway, I know what you mean about getting distracted. I purged about 100 craft books this year and about 200 other books. It takes a lot of time. You just have to go through the books before donating them and then I find something that just needs made right now. LOL

Grace, your sewing room seems like a magical place. When you post , there is always something fun stashed away in there that you are woking on! How much does a Tour Ticket cost for an afternoon, that includes tea?? LOL!!!
